Observation of Therapeutic Effect on Treatment of Hypertensive Headache by Prompt Pricking at Taiyang Point to Cause Bleeding

Abstract: Hypertensive headache and vertigo are ascribed in traditional Chinese medicine to persistent disease being entered into the channels and blood stasis being transformed into wiud. The prompt prick usedto cause bleeding at Taiyang point may reach thepnrpose of removing the blood stasis and regulatingthe channels and collaterals. The author has treated50 cases of this disease, and the results showed thatthe effective rate was 92%, which was not higherthan that of the Chinese herb group (70%), butalso higher than that of the western medicine grottp(67%). Prick to cause bleeding once every day orevery other day, 5-6 drops of blood each time. 10treatments constitute one course.
