Analysis of Influence of Earth′s Atmosphere System on Infrared Target Detection System

Abstract: Space-based infrared target detection has an extensive and important application prospect.Transmittance and earth-atmosphere background infrared radiation spectrum in diffirent conditions at 2.5~5μm wavebands are calculated with SBDART software.Calculate SNR of target and atmosphere background and analyze the influence of earths atmosphere system on the infrared target detection system.The results show that the SNR is great,when the target is located above the cirrus clouds in the 2.5~3μm and 4~4.5μm wavelength band.With the target height increases,the SNR increases and is detected easily.When the target is below the cirrus,cirrus thickness impacts on the SNR,but effective radius has little effect on the SNR.The SNR is smaller with the cirrus thickness increases.
