Abstract: To clearly grasp the category principle of marine renewable energy capture and conversion device, on the basis of briefly summarizing the current situation of marine energy utilization and development, analysis and study were conducted on over 80 typical patents for marine energy comprehensive utilization devices, and mechanism division of marine energy devices was carried out based on mechanism principle. In accordance with different working principles of various typical marine energy devices, these devices can be divided into 6 types:planar link mechanism, gear mechanism, turbine mechanism, ratchet mechanism, pulley mechanism and spring mechanism. This paper analyzes and introduces the principle of each kind of typical mechanism. On the foundation of previous study, the information query and management platform is constructed, which is helpful for the devel-opment and design of marine renewable energy comprehensive utilization technologies.
