Abstract: The concept of lag coefficient and object radius suggested by[1] is supported by the experiments.The results of study show the lag co- efficient is proportional to the square of beam temperature.Those two parameters can be used as the criteria for predicting the performance of electron gun in camera tube.Base upon these results,a low lag gun is designed for GS8010 18ram saticon tube.The importance of thermal expansion which affects the cathode-grid spacing is pointed out,and method of estimation is suggested.
