Double Layer Organic Thin Film Electroluminescent Device

Abstract: The two layer structure organic thin film EL device containing hole trans-port layer and light-emitting layer has been made.The hole transport material is diamine bnbvvbm 1and the light-emitting material is Alq3 in the device.The brightness of the device is higher than that of single layer device.By changing DCM doped layer at different position in light-emitting film,the mechanism of electroluminescence of the device has been investigated.Itis shown that the exciton is generated at the interface of diamine and light-emitting Alq3 layer,and diffuses only in Alq3 towards Aluminium cathode and forms exponential distri-bution.The diffusion length of the exciton was evaluated as 20 nm.
