Diffusion Mechanism of Mercury in HgCdTe at Annealing Temperature

Abstract: Two states of mercury in HgCdTe crystal lattice and diffusion process of mercury in HgCdTe epitaxial film are analysed. A diffusion model which diffusion depth of mercury in HgCdTe is directly proportion to square root of diffusion time is put forward. After the annealing of HgCdTe under the condition of mercury saturation, the relationship between diffusion length and diffusion time of mercury is measured by means of etching layer by layer. The experimental result coincides with theoretical model.
