Abstract: To resolve the coupling problem between electrode and amplification acquisition circuit for low frequency and weak electric signal acquisition in marine electromagnetic exploration, this paper presents an electrode range automatic compensation design method supporting DC coupling. It gives system implementation, and introduces in detail the compensation amplification circuit and automatic compensation control algorithm.Test results show that the designed electrode range automatic compensation method can automatically compensate the electrode range form 0.1-0.7 mV to 0.043-0.074 mV, well under the limit of 0.1 mV. The automatic compensation design meets the DC coupling need in marine electric field acquisition, reduces the electrode range design requirements for non-polarizable Ag/AgCl electrode in electric field acquisition circuit, and can effectively support the acquisition and application of marine low frequency electric field signals.
