Research and Implementation of M/T Mixed Velocity Measurement Method

Abstract: To solve the problem of precious acquisition of feedback signal about motor speed in high precision servo system, a new method based on the error analysis -M/T mixed velocity measurement is put forward. This method consists of enhanced quadrature encoder pulse (eQEP) module in TMS320F28335 and incremental photoelectric encoder. Disadvantages of several exiting velocity measurement methods have been compared. Handover the M or T method at the right moment, we can implement precious velocity measurement in wide speed range without complicating the hardware configurations and software situations. Software algorithm procedure of dynamic velocity measure under practical situation is also provided. Experiments prove the accuracy of the proposed algorithm. The test results show that the method can be used for high precision velocity measurement in wide velocity range. Adjust parameters according to velocity measurement conditions in practical application. It has strong commonality.
