Research on Automatic Detection of Beacon Light for Shipborne Laser Communication

Abstract: In shipborne laser communications,the successful acquisition of beacon light is the primary condition for the establishment of communication links.In order to realize the complex sea surface background beacon automatic detection insimple background,the centroid extraction algorithm is proposed based on threshold segmentation.This algorithm is applied to the detection of simple background beacon.The experimental results show that this method is simple,effective,and realtime.The single frame target settlement time is less than 20 ms.At the same time,in view of the complex sea background centroid extraction algorithm is easily affected by the reflected light and light scales.The method is proposed based on water extraction method of beacon antenna detection under automatic light detection.The simulation results show that this algorithm can effectively suppress the interference of reflected light of the sun.Finally,the target recognition technology based on Haar feature and optical flow is studied,which provides a new method for beacon detection.
