Effection Analysis for Gravity Precision from HY-2A Altimeter Data

Abstract: The effection for gravity anomaly of South China Sea from HY-2A data is analyzed via associating with HY-2A,TP and Evisat altimeter data.Firstly,HY-2A data is compared with TP and Envisat data.The statistics of cross points RMS that before and after collinear process and crossover adjustment indicate that the precision of HY-2A is better than that of TP (after orbit changed) and Envisat.The inverse Vening-Meinesz formula is used to calculate the gravity anomaly of South China Sea,and the resolution is 15'× 15'.Comparing with the ship gravity measurement,the result indicates that gravity anomaly precision with HY-2A data is ±6.13 mGal.It is better than the result without HY-2A data.And the difference value distribution rule between calculation gravity anomaly and ship measured gravity anomaly is analyzed.The result shows that HY-2A altimeter data is meaningful to improve the precision of marine gravity anomaly.
