Abstract: [Objective] To analyze the epidemiological characteristics of infectious diseases among children aged 0-5 years old in Xicheng District of Beijing from 2014-2016,provide scientific basis for prevention and control of infectious diseases.[Methods] Descriptive epidemiological method was adopted to analyze the data of infectious diseases in children aged 0-5 years old in Xicheng District.[Results] Totally 6 149 cases in 14 kinds of infectious diseases among children aged 0-5 years old were reported in Xicheng District of Beijing from 2014-2016,and the average annual incidence rate was 4 743.57/lakh.The transmission route was dominated by intestinal infection (71.08%).The top 6 diseases were hand-foot-mouth disease,other infectious diarrhea disease,influenza,varicella,scarlet fever,and mumps.The incidence of influenza was fluctuating,and the incidence of mumps,measles and bacterial dysentery were decreasing year by year.There were bimodal pattern in epidemic situation,and the peaks appeared May to July,and November to January of next year.The average annual incidence in 5 year-old age group and 1 year-old age group were higher.The average annual incidence of males was higher than that of females (x2=110.18,P<0.01).The outbreaks and gathering cases were mainly caused by hand-foot-mouth disease,accounting for 95.32%.[Conclusion] The incidence of infectious diseases is high among children aged 0-5 years old in Xicheng District.Prevention and control should focus on intestinal infectious diseases and the HFMD epidemic in nurseries,and strengthen the comprehensive prevention and control measures based on immune planning management.
