Broadband Slow Light Effect of Nonlinear Line Defect Photonic Crystal Waveguide

Abstract: Kerr nonlinear photonic crystal material was employed to build line defect waveguide coupled cavity.The nonlinear finite-difference time-domain method(NL-FDTD)was used in simulation,and the best broadband slow light effect was realized.When the group velocity reached 10-2 orders of magnitude,the bandwidth is 0.0920,the band width of the slow waveguide is five times higher than that of the linear photonic crystal coupled cavity waveguide,and the group velocity dispersion is reduced by two orders of magnitude.Slow waveguide with wider bandwidth and lower dispersion at low group velocity is achieved.
