Abstract: In order to effectively solve the choke point in the course of drawing the part complex vector chart map symbols based on SVG,the paper puts forward drawing methods on the basis of analyzing the structure of line and area symbols.Then the paper researches on the detailed processing steps and designs key arithmetics of complex vector line and area chart map symbol which are very common and useful.The arithmetics sovle the restricted problems about the visualization of chart symbol based on SVG and lay a foundation for the construction of chart symbol library and furture display and applications of chart map based on SVG.
