Computation of the Second-Order Wave Force of the Four-Season Lighted Buoy Used in Sea Ice Area

Abstract: The four-season buoy used in freezing areas is a new type of buoy that can meet the needs of navigation aids in the winter frozen ports in high latitudes. The second-order wave force has a great influence on its floating attitude and drift movement. In this paper, the numerical calculation method for the second-order wave force of the buoy is studied, with the second-order wave forces of lighted buoy and conical buoy respectively calculated at different flow velocities. The results show that the first-order wave forces received by the can buoys and conical buoys are not very different, and the second-order wave forces of can buoys are significantly weaker than the conical buoys, which means that the can buoy has a certain shape advantage.
