Abstract: The hardware and software design of the ultraviolet imaging system based on solar-blind AlGaN focal plane arrays are described.The acquisition,image processing and imaging display of the output signal of the 320×256 solarblind AlGaN focal plane arrays are realized.A real-time non-uniformity correction(NUC)algorithm is proposed generated by non-uniformity response from the ultraviolet focal plane arrays(UVFPA)and the strip-type fixed pattern noise.The real-time non-uniformity correction of ultraviolet image is realized by using FPGA as the hardware platform.The experimental comparison and analysis indicate that the algorithm can effectively improve image quality and the non-uniformity dropped from 9.609%to 4.642%.According to the result of the real-time ultraviolet image processing,the imaging processing system has completed the acquisition,image processing and imaging display,and good image quality has been achieved.
